Bathroom vanity in black marble with a flowering-branch stone mosaic

04Materials

Mosaics

Small units, used at room scale.

01Our view

Glass, stone and porcelain mosaics follow curves, slope to drains and bring texture close to the eye. Used across a whole wall rather than as a stripe, they become the room’s finish.

02Where it works

  • Shower floors that slope to a drain
  • Full-height feature walls
  • Curved and niched surfaces
  • Pools and spas

03What to know

Grout does half the work
With joints every inch, grout colour decides the pattern. We sample grout alongside the mosaic.
Wet-area grout
Epoxy or high-performance grouts resist staining in showers far better than standard cement grout.
Glass
Glass mosaic needs a white or glass-specific setting material so the back of each piece reads evenly.
